Carl Haussman, Jr. incorporated Haussman Construction Company in 1954. The company has grown from a basement office to its current facility at 5411 West Grand River Avenue in Lansing. Carl developed Haussman Construction Company into one of the most reputable construction companies in the mid-Michigan area. The company’s reputation is built on the 50-year tradition of delivering quality workmanship at a fair price.

Dennis Burt purchased Haussman Construction Company in 1996, bringing to the company over 30 years of construction experience. Following his formal education at Ferris State University, Dennis spent 15 years with various architectural firms. In 1980 he joined the Christman Company as a project manager/estimator. Dennis has been involved in projects ranging in size from under $100,000 to over $33 million. Currently Dennis serves as President of Haussman Construction Company. Dennis believes that the company’s greatest assets are the high caliber management staff and its employees.

Don Burt serves as Executive Vice President. Don brings years of experience in construction as well as a formal education in the engineering field. Don has been in charge of many multi-million dollar projects. Don also oversees the competitive bid market as the Chief Estimator. His credentials bring added benefits to our clients.

Rich Gifford serves as Vice President of Financial Facilities. Rich retired as CEO of Lansing Automakers Federal Credit Union after 34 years. During that time he was involved in the planning and building of two main offices and three branches, all were built by Haussman Construction. This past experience from an owners point of view assist the rest of Haussman Constructions staff in delivering the proper facility for each financial client.

Haussman Construction Company has completed a variety of projects including financial, educational, light industrial, restaurants, churches, and professional offices. Repeat clients include: Cooley Law School, Michigan State University, Auto-Owners Insurance Company and Lansing Automakers’ Federal Credit Union.
